This is the News Analysis segment of the Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) broadcasts

For October 23, 2009

You have heard the news; now, the analysis…

Fellow Biafrans:

It is clear that OHANEZE has not gotten the message; and it is a pity that, OHANEZE, like the Igbo elite and Igbo in Nigeria’s political class that OHANEZE speaks for, does not understand the mood of the Geographic space and Region, nor the desires of our own people. Even now, calls are coming out of the West and the North for a "Revolution" to solve Nigeria’s problems. Calls are coming from the "old guard" and from cheated and wasted young people alike, to dissolve the non-union called Nigeria so that different nations can go their own separate ways and realign themselves as they see fit, for life itself, and for progress. And, they hope for a non-violent process. The rest of the world, for its part, treats Nigeria as an incurable leper, while waiting for the time, which it has even predicted, when the leper can be thoroughly cleansed by the razing of its effects, when a new beginning, following the dissolution of the disease called one-Nigeria, can take hold.

For ten years or so, that’s what we have been telling anyone who would listen. That’s what our people really want, and that’s what they want us to work for. We have done our part, and continue to do it, pursuing a non-violent agenda for Biafra liberation even while Nigeria intensifies its pernicious violence against us and our people. Our people have supported us, boycotting Nigeria when we call for a boycott; showing up when we call for a show and a rally in support of Biafra. What the rest of Nigeria failed to grasp then was that the liberation of Biafra is also their own liberation—releasing them not only from their burden of deadly hatred and irrational fear of the Biafran and the consequences, but also, socio-politically, so they, too, can breathe once again, live, and prosper, at their own rate, in their own chosen direction, once the deadly stranglehold of "one-Nigeria" is broken. Now they—the rest of Nigeria—understand, and they are coming around. By the same token, the world that kept quiet about Biafra and prefers not to remember Biafra, is today ready for Nigeria to break up, as the only viable solution for an incurable disease called Nigeria / one Nigeria. So, everyone understands; every system understands. Except for OHANEZE.

Except for Ralph Uwechue, the so-called "President General" of OHANEZE. Uwechue is still "...calling for full reintegration of Ndigbo into the Nigerian mainstream..." Whatever that means—especially after he states categorically that the Igbo, in their millions, are living and developing remote villages and towns Nigeria-nationwide, thus paying for Nigerian nationhood (and presumably, Nigerian citizenship). But, he must beg Nigeria to not "...make the Igbo ‘bystanders’" in Nigeria. What a joke! What a joker! When is Uwechue going to get it? When is OHANEZE going to get it? The Igbo don’t want Nigeria. Our people do not want Nigeria. Nigeria is like a caustic substance, a corrosive vitriolic acid, a veritable poison, and a dungeon-prison to our people. We want Biafra—we are Biafra, we are Biafrans. The other nations in Nigeria also want out of Nigeria; and the world can’t wait until its predicted dissolution of Nigeria occurs.

Earlier, the same Ralph Uwechue, in the same capacity, had called on the so-called Federal Government of Nigeria to apologize to Ndigbo for all the atrocities and wrongdoing perpetrated on us by Nigeria as a way to accept the Igbo into the Nigerian fold—per his own naïve thinking. Of course, if any Nigerian actually read and took that call seriously, they would have laughed themselves silly. Not just at [the stupidity of] Uwechue and OHANEZE that he represents, but by extension, at the whole Igbo. We Igbo and other Biafrans also laugh at Ralph Uwechue and his stupidity, and the denseness of a moronic OHANEZE insistent on disgracing the Igbo heritage by its unfathomable foolishness. True to type, Nigeria ignored him and his OHANEZE. Other nations in Nigeria continue to awaken to the reality of the split of Nigeria, and make preparations for it. The world expects the split. We continue to work it, in order to fetch for our people what we and our people really want: a Sovereign, Independent Biafra, a matter of survival for us. But, not OHANEZE. Not Ralph Uwechue.

In case you think we are picking on OHANEZE, you should know that joining Uwechue and his foolishness is another efulefu called Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu. Recall that Iwuanyanwu is a core OHANEZE member who, perhaps more so than Uwechue, represents all that is wrong (where nothing is really right, in the first place), about OHANEZE. Iwuanyanwu was the erstwhile chairman of the OHANEZE Political Committee, which was charged with electing an Igbo president of their Nigeria in 2003; and who, while he was still holding that Chair, bragged to Igbo people that he had decided to be the campaign manager for Obasanjo’s presidency bid. What did OHANEZE do about it? Well, after Obasanjo was rigged into power, OHANEZE decided, in its "wisdom," to reward Iwuanyanwu with another OHANEZE chairmanship. Just how stupid can an organization get? In any case, today, the hypocrite, Iwuanyanwu, is also reported to be calling on the so-called Federal Government of Nigeria to "...redress some of the injuries inflicted on Ndigbo in the Nigerian polity since 1967..."; and Iwuanyanwu’s priority—get this—is "...that an additional state should be created in Igbo land without further delay..." At a time when Nigeria is disintegrating, and even those who initially refused to accept such reality are now expecting and preparing for it, arch-hypocrite and efulefu, Iwuanyanwu, and his OHANEZE, are still talking about an additional Nigeria-created Nigeria-style State in Igboland as what will solve our problem with Nigeria, solve our problem in Nigeria, solve our problem that is Nigeria? What a shame: what an awful shame!

Fellow Biafrans: let us tell OHANEZE, its Uwechue’s and Iwuanyanwu’s, that it should never claim to speak for the Igbo, because it does not. Because, it, OHANEZE, is now the problem for the Igbo, even more so of a problem than Nigeria itself. OHANEZE is the enemy of the Igbo, the enemy of Biafra, and has historically, consistently and insistently placed itself on the side of Enemy of the Igbo, Enemy of Biafra. We will simply and actively ignore OHANEZE, isolate it, shun it, and relegate it to the dustbin forthwith. While doing so, let us make sure it and its membership of "the defenders of Nigeria" who sport titles like "SAN" (Senior Advocate of Nigeria), "OFR" (Order of the Federal Republic [of Nigeria]—what a joke: Nigeria is neither a federation nor a republic!) understand that everyone else now is on the same page as we have always been: "...To your tents, Oh [Nigerians]..." as it were. Nigeria will split: has to.

Fellow Biafrans: let us be strong, now that the rest of Nigeria and the entire world understands that the only way to salvation and liberation is the separation of the different nations currently forced together to suffer and die as unworkable "one-Nigeria" (one particular nation deliberately forced to suffer and die more so than the rest); that such liberated nations may then decide in mutuality, equity and by mutual consent, to form whatever inter-National relationships are beneficial to them. Challenge OHANEZE: ask it to "Get thee behind me, Satan!" if it and its leadership and membership say and or do any more in support of the outmoded, unworkable and injurious one-Nigeria. Time has proven us right: we are defeating Nigeria / one-Nigeria; by the same token, we are defeating OHANEZE. Make sure that our people know this and understand it. We want Biafra. We get Biafra. We are Biafra; we are Biafrans.

Biafra alive! Because it is God Who makes it so.

That’s the News Analysis for the week. Thank you.
