This is the News Analysis segment of the Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) broadcasts

For August 14, 2009

You have heard the news; now, the analysis…

Fellow Biafrans:

Christians in the Islamic Nation of Arewa—otherwise mistakenly regarded as "Northern Nigeria"—are publicly expressing surprise that the world shows no interest in their recent ordeals suffered at the murderous hands of the Jihadist-terrorists of Arewa nation who added another terrorist expression, "Boko Haram" to the dysfunctional lexicon of failed Nigeria. Yes, the Christians are embittered by the fact that not only has the World completely ignored the horrific terror and gratuitous violence unleashed on them by the Boko Haram group, the only thing in this reprehensible act which attracts the world’s attention is the death of the Boko Haram leader, Yusuf, while in police custody during this melee! "Imagine that!" laments the Christians: It is the same Yusuf who personally supervised the forced conversion to Islam of non-consenting, unwilling, unarmed and terror-stricken Christians tactically taken as hostages and to be used as human shield by the Boko murderers, of which the refusal by any of the Christians to be forcibly converted lead to death by beheading, ordered by Yusuf himself, during this murderous mayhem. Yet, Yusuf’s death is the only one the world chose to show concern over! Yes, imagine that!

It gets worse. Earlier on BBC, Yusuf had articulated the program of Boko Haram. Yet, after this terrorist act by Yusuf and his group, BBC and the European press / media shamelessly tried so much to downplay its significance. UK told US that US interests in Nigeria would not be affected adversely. Brazil did not raise the issue publicly, even though inept and sickly Yar’Adua was on a so-called state visit to Brazil (one wonders for what else other than that the only country that would host that incompetent is Brazil?). China expressed a token concern, and was fully satisfied by the most idiotic answer given by the moron, the deputy leader of Nigeria’s so-called Senate, to the tone that it was a minor internal matter. For their part, Muslim countries around the world weighed in, treating Yusuf as a martyr, and his group’s vicious attack as justifiable Jihad, while amplifying "Boko Haram": "Western Education and Culture is Sin." As such, it is in fact, true: no one else in the outside world "wept" for the Christians in Nigeria mauled by Yusuf and his gang from the Islamic Nation of Arewa under their Boko Haram banner.

If the World paid no attention at all, the reaction from Nigeria is even worse than silence. Some Christian leaders from the South, in typical denial and sycophancy, claimed publicly that "all is well; no Christian was hurt, no Christian property was destroyed." Christians in the North, on the other hand, essentially asked their membership to pray even harder for peace, and appealed (as usual) for calm, and tasked themselves to find "common ground" with their known and sworn mortal, implacable Muslim enemies! From Biafraland, no one cared anymore, because previous multiple credible and reasoned appeals to Biafrans to leave the enemy-hotbed and that "Biafran mass-graveyard" called Northern Nigeria, had fallen on deaf ears, despite ongoing massacre of Biafrans still foolish enough to reside there. Since the majority of Christians in Northern Nigeria—the Islamic Nation of Arewa—is constituted by the Igbo and other Biafrans, it is easy to realize that, once again, the Igbo and other Biafrans bore the brunt of Boko Haram destruction of life, livelihood and property. Now, the Igbo especially, don’t care anymore, following the aforementioned appeals and warnings. Where the peoples living in Nigeria thus reacted with indifference and psychological denial, the failed government of Nigeria responds with incompetence and gross negligence, as only Nigeria can, and always has.

So, let’s tell you what you already know and have complained about, oh ye Christians living in Nigeria: No one cares about you. The World does not care about you. The government of Nigeria does not care about you at all. The peoples living in Nigeria do not care about you. Even your own Christian leaders do not care about you. However, if it’s any consolation at all, the Islamic Nation of Arewa—"Northern Nigeria"—cares: but it only cares to forcefully convert you to Islam, "as a merciful act," albeit with reluctance, being that it is actually most interested in wiping you off the face of the Globe entirely. Now, there you have it!

For the umpteenth time, we will remind you that all the evil befalling you is a result of one-Nigeria, and your refusal to break that harmful structure. Boko Haram can only happen because one-Nigeria is the Trojan Horse which the Islamic Nation of Arewa uses to defeat and destroy you. Without one-Nigeria, those terrorists will meet their match, because you will be in a position to understand that you need to defend yourself by your own self, and that you have to defend yourself by your own self; then, you will in fact defend yourself, by your own self—whatever it takes.

The World ignores you because you act like a typical coward: you refuse to come up with the courage to get out of a situation and structure which is relentlessly mauling you. Rather, you can only offer the typical coward’s response: "pray more; maintain calm," as if you do not see that even the calm of the grave—your own grave—has not proven any calm at all. You are expected—the World expects you—to break the unworkable and harmful structure of one-Nigeria, so that you can finally begin live, but all you can do—all you want to do—is only pretend to content yourself with looking for the elusive "common ground" in one-Nigeria, which you already know very well is non-existent. You do not want to act, because you are afraid—you want to preserve your life; and what did Jesus the Christ say about that? You will certainly lose that wretched life you choose to cling to and that you hope to save by your cowardice.

And so, we say it again: The different nations that were originally forced into unworkable one-Nigeria must now formally leave Nigeria to continue, each on its own, each as a sovereign independent nation. Each sovereign nation becomes responsible for its own ship of state and its own citizenry, free to form mutually beneficial inter-national associations and inter-national relationships with one another and with the rest of a world then breathing a collective sigh of relief. That’s the meaning of Biafra. That’s why Biafra is the answer—the correct answer to this nightmare called one-Nigeria with its many manifestations of "Boko Haram."

Embrace the implementation of Biafra and what it stands for, or, be completely ignored by the World, even while you are being systematically destroyed by one-Nigeria!

Our demand remains that Nigeria release our brave Biafran persons still held in Nigeria’s prisons. No Moral person would NOT reject one-Nigeria. Release them now!

Biafra alive! Because it is God Who makes it so.

That’s the News Analysis for the week. Thank you.
