You have heard the news; now, the analysis…
Once again, we use this medium to speak to Biafrans who, for any number of reasons, continue to actively cling to Nigeria / one-Nigeria. If anyone in that group still seriously thinks that Biafra belongs in Nigeria, all we can say to that, is, "what an incurable disease!" And, what a pity! Because, every day, Nigeria demonstrates in policy and deeds that it is no place for Biafrans; that it does not want Biafrans, except only as slaves, or food for a ravaging and determined predator and parasite. To the rest, we say, Believe: believe in Biafra! Return to Biafra! Pay mind to Biafra.
Consider the latest casualties of the mad belief of some Biafrans in one-Nigeria. A brilliant Chukwuma Soludo of Central Bank of Nigeria is now reduced to uncertainties and to begging for his job—a job now certainly to be handed over to an incompetent of Yar’Adua’s kin. We had advised Soludo in the past that he merely served at the pleasure and mercy of Northern Nigeria owners of Nigeria who use Biafrans and then, spit them out—spent, wasted and disgraced. Remember Okonjo-Iweala under Obasanjo? Biafrans singing one-Nigeria’s praises are always eventually humiliated: that is fact; that is history. It’s not the insult that concerns us, since these Biafrans are willing to take such. Recently, for example, Soludo, advised by his one-Nigerian friends to try to save his job by appeasing his Northern masters, went up to Northern Nigeria where he formally asked the Federal Government of Nigeria to embark on monetary salvation of Northerners from poverty! (As if any area of Nigeria receives more Government money already while contributing less to the federal coffers than the North). Soludo actually outdid himself: typical—he was reported to have "wept" at the level of poverty he witnessed in the North during his speech on the subject of Poverty in the North. Apparently, Soludo has not visited his own village and town in Biafraland where, like all of Biafraland, the same federal government of Nigeria has deliberately refused to place any meaningful infrastructure or spend any funds at all, in a publicly declared pernicious policy; where lives of young and old, men and women alike—Biafran citizenry—rot in standstill, devoid of hope, devoid of dreams and devoid of any future. Did this "weeping act" save Soludo’s job? No! Not any more than Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s job was saved by her appeasing arch-Biafran hater, Obasanjo, with similar sycophancy and groveling. All this is bothersome enough, but what is even more bothersome is that, like Okonjo-Iweala and Biafrans in this class, when he is out of this job, Soludo will continue to tow one-Nigeria’s line; this we can predict. Just look at another example, Ojo Maduekwe: even after the Rotimi’s of Nigeria eventually remind him in calculated derogatory terms that he is still a "bloody Biafran who was defeated years ago by Nigeria in war," Maduekwe will be the first to publicly denounce Biafra and claim one-Nigerian today. Why do these Biafrans want to belong to something which does not want them, and which constantly insults them and puts them in their place—outside? Do we forget that at a certain point, Insult not only sticks to the insulted, but, actually becomes that insulted person who has deliberately clung to the insulting medium?
For this reason, we speak to the Spirit in all Biafrans: it is time to return to Biafra. "Returning to Biafra" does not mean physical translocation. But, it means physically developing Biafra / Biafraland. Returning to Biafra does not mean giving up the perquisites of one’s status elsewhere, but it means, giving something tangible back to, for the sake of, and in the name of, Biafra in return—because Biafra is your homeland, our homeland—the only one you / we will ever have. Returning to Biafra means supporting Biafra actualization in any and all ways, because only an Independent Sovereign Biafra can provide diplomatic protection based on International Law for all Biafrans and their properties wherever they may reside outside of Biafra, even if in Nigeria.
What have we gained by developing Nigeria and ignoring Biafraland? Are you happy and content with yourself when you proudly report to your friends or family, or your children, that you are developing Nigeria and maliciously neglecting Biafraland—that you cannot get to or locate your own overgrown compound in Biafraland? Are you alright within yourself and with your conscience when you understand that, not only have you joined Nigeria in developing one-Nigeria at the expressed expense of Biafraland, but you have also joined Nigeria in its policy of starving Biafraland of any development? Please, tell us where you can go today and be proud to tell people that your own home in Biafraland has been completely neglected because you prefer to develop other peoples’ lands, to develop one-Nigeria. Tell us whose mother or father taught him or her growing up that it is preferable to abandon one’s own homeland and its development, in favor of developing another’s, especially when one is an unwelcome alien in the land that one has blindly vowed to develop at the very expense of one’s own land.
No need to belabor the point: all Biafrans, return to Biafra. Develop Biafra. Rebuild Biafra. Have your own homeland, Biafraland, developed and Independent and Sovereign. You are worth it. Your homeland is worth it. Your Ancestry is worth it. You are certainly capable. There is no higher wisdom, no higher principle and no higher Clarity than this.
In connection with this, all Biafrans must ask why our brothers, Uchenna Madu and all the other MASSOB members / Biafrans still remain in Nigeria’s jails today. Having asked that question, we must get them released without any further punishing stay in Nigeria’s Gulag.
Biafra alive! Because it is God Who makes it so.
