This is the News Analysis segment of the Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) broadcasts

For May 19th 2007

You have heard the news; now, the analysis…

Fellow Biafrans:

It is of utmost importance that we remind us all that we Biafrans should all participate in any action designed to advance the cause of Biafra actualization. We must all be of the frame of mind that any genuine action or genuine activity with the GENUINE goal of Biafra actualization shall be supported by all of us Biafrans. What this means is that:

1)    all pro-Biafra groups will support and perform such actions, but where necessary, each according to its own ways and principal mode of operations, ability, capacity and capability;

2)    there must be proper and adequate consultations, coordination and general agreement among all pro-Biafran groups regarding these actions and activities before hand, when time permits; and

3)    notwithstanding the status of consultations and or agreement, it is our principal duty as responsible Biafrans to do our part in all circumstances to participate fully in any and all genuine actions and genuine activities with the genuine goal of Biafra actualization.

We all have to agree that this is the last time we are going to read or hear one pro-Biafran group publicly or privately try to counteract the activity of another pro-Biafran group where the activity clearly has the goal of Biafra actualization. While it is okay to opt out—and we don’t know why a group with Biafra in mind would opt out of a genuine Biafra actualization-related activity—there is no justification for a hostile or antagonistic response to another group and that group’s genuine Biafra actualization efforts.

A word is enough for the wise. There is only one goal for us: Biafra actualization—Biafra. Those working against Biafra / Biafra actualization are the real enemy—our only enemy. On the other hand, those who struggle in any way for Biafra actualization are our friends—our true friends. We all want every one of us to show understanding, wisdom and discipline by recognizing who the real enemy is, and facing such enemy. We all want every one of us to avoid the foolishness of attacking friends working for Biafra actualization. We all expect every one of us to avoid making us look confused and divided, a situation arising when friends fight friends instead of fight the enemy.

This is especially important because, thus far, under the leadership of MASSOB and Ralph Uwazurike, we have made substantial progress. In Nigeria where things are heating up, they are even borrowing the MASSOB-perfected Biafra sit-at-home techniques. Soon, Nigeria will be compelled to acknowledge that we are correct to have boycotted Nigeria’s so-called elections; and correct also about the reason for our choice to be out of Nigeria and move into our own Nation, Biafra. We are hence at a phase in the struggle where success and victory for us are clearly present on the menu, and are coming our way, regardless. Events in Nigeria signal a little awakening of eternally sleepy Nigerians as they arise to try to confront the fraud and evil dealt to them in the recently concluded round of brazenly rigged so-called elections In Nigeria. We cannot predict how far Nigerians, not particularly known for their courage, will go to challenge obvious deceit. But, many of them have now begun to see the value of Self Determination for the different Nations which have been yoked together by force to form Nigeria, realizing that Nigeria is using all these Nations: using some to kill and cheat the others, and just plain using, and or abusing, some other Nations. These other Nations are just beginning to see things the way we have always seen them all these 40 odd years. As such, how is it that we, at this time, are trying to snatch Defeat from imminent Victory by forgetting our goal—the goal—and by attacking fellow-comrades instead of stepping forward to claim opportunities painted all over with Victory Signs in our own colors? God forbid it!

Let this serve as a wake-up call for all of us. We all are to redirect ourselves if we seem to have lost our way and lost sight of the goal. We all are to re-dedicate ourselves where we have permitted distractions to sap our resolve. Because, only if we all can remain focused in these days of confusion, confoundment and retribution for Nigeria, shall we all manage to grab our victory NOW, rather than later. That focus is Biafra. We all are called upon to do one thing in this dispensation: that is Biafra actualization. There is not a chance that we will lose this singular focus even if we miss a step or two or more. So, let’s all get back to it.

Our brethren heading this struggle for Biafra were thrown in jail by Obasanjo who thought he could stop the Divine movement of Biafra actualization. Obasanjo was wrong; he is wrong. Now, we ask him to release Ralph Uwazurike, the leader of MASSOB, Uchenna Madu, the Information Director of MASSOB, all other MASSOB officials, all other MASSOB members; all other brethren doing Biafra’s work; and Asari Dokubo—unconditionally. Obasanjo is reminded that we shall hold him solely responsible for any ills which might befall our comrades as a result of this unjust imprisonment.

Biafra alive! Because it is God Who makes it so.

That’s the News Analysis for the week. Thank you.
