This is the News Analysis segment of the Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) broadcasts
For January 13th, 2007
You have heard the news; now, the analysis…
Fellow Biafrans:
In the last broadcast we asked you to reject and ignore the Census results to be announced by Nigeria. We had mounted an effective and successful boycott of that Census in 2005 / 2006. Now that Nigeria has actually announced the results of that pre-known fraudulent and Igbo-cheating, Biafra-cheating Census, our recommendation is the same: reject the figures; ignore the results. No point dragging you through the obvious deliberately flawed and incomplete plan for that Census; however, just to remind you that:
1) The planned Nigeria’s Elections of 2007 show all the same flaws of the Nigeria’s fraudulent Census of 2006.
2) Like the Census, the planned Elections are already pre-configured to cheat the Igbo and Biafrans.
3) Like the Census, the planned Elections will be rigged—actually, have already been rigged, a self-evident conclusion based on the current goings-on in Nigeria these past months.
4) Like the Census, just as there was no headcount in many parts of Biafra, the planned Elections, if they hold, should witness no real voting in many parts—the majority—of Biafra.
5) Just as the Census was initially postponed, expect the planned Nigeria elections to be postponed, perhaps, indefinitely; if Nigeria survives that long.
Therefore, our response to Nigeria’s planned Elections is the same response we had for the Census: Boycott! We shall boycott the planned Nigeria’s elections. We will boycott the elections.
Nigeria was determined, with its usual fraud-machinery misnamed “government,” to push through a census exercise which it knew very well was unfair to Biafrans. Vehement complaints by the intended victims failed to obtain correction. On January 9 2007, that a-moral census process was consummated with “official” Census results. Today, Nigeria is also ready to push through its planned Elections even when it is obvious to all that the process and conduct leading up to such elections are quite flagrantly and brazenly flawed and rigged. By April 2007 or so, if the Elections hold in Nigeria (assuming that Nigeria survives until then), the pre-rigged results will be declared “official” and foisted on the peoples. While no other group may be willing to demonstrate moral courage, we Biafrans will: we are going to boycott any and all Nigeria’s elections. Just like we successfully and effectively boycotted the Nigeria Census.
Which is why we want to thank you again for standing your grounds and sticking with our principles and boycotting the aforementioned Census, the results of which today validate our earlier concerns. Which is why we want to thank you ahead of time for boycotting any planned Nigeria elections.
Fellow Biafrans, needless to remind you that the Number One non-negotiable reason why we had to boycott Nigeria’s Census is that we are Biafrans. We want to be counted as Biafrans, not as Nigerians. Until we can schedule a valid Census in the sovereign and independent Nation of Biafra, there is no reason to subject ourselves to usual cheating, exploitation, humiliation and fraud, by Nigeria. By the same token, the primary reason we shall boycott Nigeria’s elections is that we are Biafrans, and we will never again participate in Nigeria’s known fraudulent electoral process foisting Nigeria-picked efulefu over us. As you know, by—soon after—2003, we had already arrived at that decision. We will keep it that way. As Biafrans, in Biafra, we know to govern ourselves.
We shall boycott any planned Nigeria’s elections because we are Biafrans. We also have a serious moral duty to refuse to participate in a fraudulent and rigged process, in general, and especially, when we are deliberately made the certain victims of such a fraudulent process.
And, why shouldn’t we boycott Nigeria’s sham called elections? Obasanjo, using all the powers of Nigeria State and acting as proxy for known Nigeria’s anti-Biafran policies, has kept the Leader of MASSOB, Ralph Uwazurike, in jail, as well as other MASSOB officials including Uchenna Madu, and other MASSOB rank-and-file membership. At the same time, Obasanjo has released OPC leaders jailed for murder and mayhem, when it is no secret that these are his kinsmen, and OPC will eventually come to Obasanjo’s defense—blindly, to boot—on Obasanjo’s Judgment Day, a day that is certain to come against Obasanjo. Regardless of Obasanjo’s power-intoxicated smugness in this matter, and the world’s apparent silence, it is neither to Obasanjo’s advantage nor in the best interest of Nigeria and or the world to continue the unjust and malicious imprisonment of Ralph Uwazurike and other MASSOB members and other Biafrans doing pro-Biafra work. We continue to ask for their safe, unconditional and immediate release. Neither MASSOB nor Biafra nor Uwazurike pose a danger to Nigeria: “Nigeria” is Nigeria’s greatest and only danger, a mortal danger which has already destroyed Nigeria. No need to scapegoat and victimize the innocent seeking to get out of the path of danger and destruction. MASSOB, Biafra and Biafrans are here to stay: no one is going to un-create what God has already created, no matter how much the one tries. Release Uwazurike, Uchenna Madu, and other MASSOB members and Biafrans from Nigeria’s jails.
Boycott of Nigeria’s planned election is on! Boycott, boycott, boycott!
Biafra alive! Because it is God Who makes it so.
That’s the News Analysis for the week. Thank you.
