You have heard the news; now, the analysis…

Special Announcement

We want to make certain that everyone and all parties understand that Ohaneze does not speak for Ndigbo-Biafrans nor will Ohaneze represent Igbo-Biafrans in any way at any conference, especially Sovereign National Conference.

Every ethnic nation of people living and suffering in Nigeria has already rejected Obasanjo’s so-called “National Conference” as is being implemented by him and his government. Only efulefu organizations like Ohaneze would support such a farce and make plans to send delegates.

For the record, the people of Biafra are not interested in any conference unless it is put together by ethnic nations, each recognized, represented and attending as a sovereign nation, with the agenda of ratifying such sovereignty, and deciding on how one sovereign nation relates to the others based on international standards, norms  and laws governing sovereign nations.

MASSOB and other pro-Biafran organizations represent the real interest of Ndigbo-Biafrans. Therefore, any messengers or delegates sent by the people of Biafra will necessarily include persons from these pro-Biafran organizational ranks.

Our people, on August 26 2004, gave MASSOB the mandate to represent us and continue, until victory, the agenda of Biafra actualization. Likewise, in April 2003, our people listened to our appeal to cast a “Biafra unity-solidarity” vote for APGA and they responded accordingly, handing Obasanjo-PDP-one-Nigeria its first post war defeat at the hands of Biafra. In utter desperation, Obasanjo and PDP went reckless and brazenly rigged the election. Nigeria is living the aftermath of that rigged election today.

While pro-Biafran groups are representing our people’s interests and pushing our Biafra agenda, Ohaneze has been busy pushing for one-Nigeria, In the same April 2003 election, as you all know, Ohaneze’s chairman of the committee charged with electing an Igbo for the presidency of Nigeria actually took money from Obasanjo and went out of his way to steal our votes for APGA in order to rig Obasanjo-PDP into power. That traitor is Iwuanyanwu; he bragged about his action to us. Ohaneze never disciplined him, but instead, rewarded him with another chairmanship. How can anyone now trust Ohaneze to represent Igbo-Biafra interests?

In fact, Ohaneze has already told us that it is willing to continue to sell us into slavery in Nigeria, having concluded and stated so in writing, by announcing that Igbo interest is best served by one-Nigeria, because Ndigbo would lose their property and assets in Nigeria if we opted out for Biafra. Ohaneze is so blind that it cannot see that all Igbo property, assets and investments in other parts of Nigeria are always in extreme jeopardy and at risk, anyway, just by being located in Nigeria. Ohaneze is so idiotic that it fails to realize that we, Igbo-Biafrans, are not just losing property now; we are losing our dignity and, more importantly, lives at the hands of Nigeria because of our forced stay in Nigeria today. It is rather obvious that Ohaneze does not understand and is unwilling to accept what the real interests of Ndigbo are.

We know that Ohaneze’s only interest is in protecting the interests ( = pockets) of Ohaneze members. The great majority of Ndigbo or the average Igbo man or woman does not own property outside Biafraland; nor does he or she hang out where Nigeria Contracts are being bought and sold; neither does he or she have a membership in Ohaneze. Pity that such foolishness should prevail in Ohaneze, when a little thought should convince every person that it is only Biafra that can secure, mature and prosper all our interests, no matter in what part of the world.

For these reasons, we repeat: henceforth, Ohaneze represents only Ohaneze; any claim that it represents Ndigbo is totally false; and Ohaneze should desist from making such a claim. Igbo-Biafrans are represented by MASSOB and like pro-Biafra organizations. No Biafran is going to Obasanjo’s “National Conference”; and its outcome will not affect out Biafra actualization agenda. If and when a true Sovereign National Conference (where “Sovereignty” describes the status of participating ethnic nations) is held, Biafra will send Biafrans who have been in the vanguard of Biafra actualization movement, to represent us, as a Sovereign nation of Biafra.

We will segue into the rest of the news analysis session by referring to the puerile antics of another efulefu, also a member of Ohaneze, the cretin called Arthur Nzeribe. This person wants to impose on us his twisted view that the Anambra situation with all the recent revelations is either just another political matter (in which case, “party matter,” a la “PDP-family Affair”); and or a “moral question.” What arrant nonsense! Going against the constitution of a country, even one as flawed as the Nigerian constitution is, and even for a “no-country” that Nigeria is, is a legal matter, a question of crime, and a case for the judiciary. Robbers have done their job; the victim is helpless and being further victimized by the internecine battle among the same robbers. There is no moral dilemma here—there is no dilemma, period. There is no “moral question.” And this Nzeribe is a man whose “politics” consists only in openly buying the support of peers with pure cash. He now talks of “morality”? Wonders, as they say, never cease!

Try to pursue Nzeribe’s so-called “political solution” at the PDP January 4, 2005 meeting, where they all kowtowed before, and begged, Obasanjo to forgive Ogbeh. No one had the guts to tell Obasanjo that he is an accessory to a crime of electoral fraud. No one told Ogbeh the same. No one condemned PDP for using the Uba-method all over Nigeria and in Biafraland to rig themselves into power. No one thought to ask how the people of Anambra are coping. PDP had their family-affair; Obasanjo went to have lunch in Ogbeh’s house afterwards; Atiku added a feather to his ambitious cap; the rest of the members-attendees left happy, afterwards. When this salty and murky water of merriments clears, Anambra is still there; the elections were still rigged; Obasanjo and Ogbeh were well-aware of it, but didn’t tell the legal / judicial authorities; and they are still preaching to the people about “morality” and “the rule of law”? That is the “PDP-family affairs” way. Solves nothing! Claims false credit!

Shame on Nzeribe, which won’t do much good because he has none! But, if Nzeribe should insist on Obasanjo declaring a state of emergency in Anambra, our people must shun and ostracize him.

Obasanjo has promised that 2005 is going to be a better year than the last; only a few short weeks ago, he was so sure that it would take a lot longer for anyone to start benefiting from the results of his anti-people policies, hence he was “warning” the peoples suffering in Nigeria to exercise more patience. He probably forgot this warning when he lied in his New Year message painted rosy. Actually, what he has no intellect to understand is that the peoples eking out a living and dying in Nigeria are already experiencing the benefits of his wicked policies: it is all negative benefits: the negative results of his policies are very much here and now with the peoples. Other highly placed Nigerians understood that and contradicted Obasanjo promptly. They are expecting a popular revolution in Nigeria this year; they are asking Obasanjo to resign, and they are demanding a sovereign national conference and or total restructuring of Nigeria; else, 2005, already predicted to be worse than 2004, will not be salvageable, and Nigeria will cease to exist. All we can say is that they are only just validating what we saw and knew 4 years ago.

We shift our focus to the Onitsha-River Niger-Bridge. Nothing upset us so much this season than the state of disrepair and neglect of this bridge and the dangers it poses for our people of Biafra. Ask yourself: how many Yoruba use this bridge? How many Arewans use this bridge? Many of us traveled across this bridge to return to Biafraland, and would use it again on our way out, this Christmas period. After Christmas, our usage of the bridge will continue—until one day, hundreds will perish with its collapse—and, it’s going to be our people mainly. Have you heard Ohaneze say anything about this matter? Have you heard the efulefu governors say anything about it? They are all too busy looking for “settlement” against 2007. Do you realize how many times we have appealed to the government of the day to do something about this bridge? Yes, they can build pipes to directly siphon off and steal our oil and get it to the North and to the West, but they won’t fix the bridge so that the people of Biafra can travel in safety and freely. If this bridge falls before Biafra is actualized, we will use that as the final symbolism of marginalization.

Fellow Biafrans: do your part. Do your part. We are actually winning, though it may not seem obvious to everyone; but we really are. God is doing His part.

Biafra alive! Because God created Biafra and Biafrans.

That’s the news analysis for the week.  Thank you.

God bless and keep Biafra, and you, until our next broadcast. Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) broadcast continues (http://www.biafraland.com/vobi.htm) with the summary of the News Analysis in Igbo language.
