On this the 35th Anniversary of the founding of our nation, the Biafra Foundation (BF) sends to all Biafrans and friends of Biafra – at home and abroad –tidings of liberty, freedom and peace. We call on all of you in the US and around the world to observe the day with prayers and reflections in order to facilitate the actualization of a sovereign and independent state of Biafra as soon as possible.

We also urge all Biafrans to set apart a few hours of this special occasion to educate their families about Biafra, about the 2 million women and children starved to death by the Nigerian state, about her proud heritage which is marked by incredible courage and an indestructible will to survive, and by the promise of a bright and prosperous future.

Given the havoc wreaked on our people by the corrupt and bankrupt Nigerian state through the introduction of Muslim Sharia law and the continued massacre, marginalization and oppression of our people, the Biafra Foundation appeals to all authentic Biafrans, especially those in the United States, to come to the rescue of the motherland by increasing their moral and financial support to the Foundation so as to enable it carry out its obligations at home and abroad. We also ask for material support for the maintenance of the Voice of Biafra International (VOBI) and for Biafra House, the official headquarters of the foundation.

Finally, the Biafra Foundation would like to remind all Biafrans that the future of our people is in their hands. And that it is their obligation to use their legendary educational and professional achievements, as well as the freedoms and political resources of America to facilitate the liberation of the 40 million Biafrans in bondage in Nigeria.

We want you to know that Biafra is the challenge of our generation. And God willing Biafra, like a Phoenix, will rise again –in our own time.
